He shook his head, looking at the wound again before turning for the attic door. He unlatched it thoroughly and then Damon had asked about the bed. He nodded but spoke, figuring that Damon wasn’t really paying attention to him. “Yes, it’s a single-size mattress, fits two people nicely although they might feel a little squeezed in. But eh, it’s very comfortable with all those pillows around.” In fact, he had taken at least twenty pillows from the building’s rooms and placed them up here just to make things feel more comfortable, and warm to the touch as well since he usually slept in just his boxer shorts. He was kind of disappointed that Damon might be wearing something on his torso but he could figure something out about that later if it came to that. For now, he was letting Damon go down the stairs and then leading him into the bedroom in order to lead him to the nearest bathroom. “Here we are,” he said as he went to a candle sitting on the counter of the sink, and then lit it with a match in a moment. He had taken the matches from the main office of the building. Now the room was dimly illuminated but it was bright enough to look into. He went and turned the cold faucet on, since all they would have was cold water. He looked up at Damon and nodded at him, “You go ahead and get in.” He started removing his own articles of clothing.

Damon watch the cold water fall for a moment, he took a deep breath and then reached down to unbutton his pants. Once they were undone, they fell loosely to the floor. He closed his eyes, then opened back up, still looking at the water that wasn't going to get any warmer. He literally jumped in, figuring that he might as well get it over with quick and make it easier and less painful on himself. When the water hit his would, he winced in pain, and went to take it back out. "Let's get this over with fast. Please."
For a moment he watched the beads of water trickle down his body, the hairs began to raise into bumps. He lifted his arms and tried to catch the water in his hands, mostly playing with the water. Why not? And then softly, he began to sing to himself, his naturally melancholy voice echoed throughout the shower.

Nako was removing his own clothing and folding them on the lid on the toilet. He picked up Damon’s pants quickly, and then gasped lightly, having forgotten something. “Remind me to bring the shirts back down here, I’m going to wash them and then let them dry overnight.” He explained as he looked up and saw Damon staring at the water. He was a little concerned but then again he was happy that his friend wasn’t giving him a hard time anymore. He nodded when asked if they could do it fast, and so he went into the bathtub, being careful not to let either one slip.
First he allowed himself to be wet enough for suds. The he picked up the bar of soap and started scrubbing his skin before looking up at his friend. “Scrub my back?” He asked as he handed the bar of soap over, “I’ll scrub yours, and then we will work on that thing,” He nodded to the other’s head wound. Now his friend was singing again, and he just smirked. “Trying to impress me, eh?” He stuck out his tongue playfully, although he couldn’t really hear much of it as Damon was pretty much withdrawn with the song.

Damon was quick to stop his singing, he ignored the question of whether or not he was trying to impress Nako or and he instead became quiet and only talked when spoken to. "I guess I can scrub your back--" although the quicker he did it the quicker they would work on his head. "It's gonna hurt isn't it? " He held the soap in his hand, and waited for the other young man to show his back to him so he could wash it for him.

Nako was a little upset that his friend wasn’t being friendly, in a sense. But he didn’t care and went on with their showering. He turned around to let him scrub away, and shrugged at his inquiry. “I don’t know… We just need to wash it out, but it doesn’t look really bad. But, then again,” he said as he turned his head to the side as to look at Damon the best he could, “I always say it’s better to be safe than sorry.” He shrugged lightly. “Would you rather be alive and sore than sick and dying?” He knew how wounds could become infected and then lead on to a disease, and since the town didn’t really have any means to cure such diseases, then Damon would have a big problem as to getting better. “Please trust me. Have I done anything to make you not trust me yet?” When Damon would be done scrubbing around, Nako would’ve turned around and then wrap his arms around Damon’s waist. “Relax, man. I’m not going to hurt you… As long as you don’t hurt me!”

"I wouldn't hurt you on purpose. Although-- I don't think anyone means to hurt anyway-- do they?" Damon inquired, but then his mind wandered other places, "So, if I got sick and died-- would I go to heaven or whatnot?" He looked concerned, but he was quick to shrug it off, and he handed the bar of soap to Nako. "You still gonna scrub may back? I mean I can." Just before the other could take it he bended his arm backwards and scrubbed away, "See?" But then he offered the soap out again to give him a choise.

Nako just shrugged, and then shrugged again. No one ever knew where they would go upon their dying until after, so he couldn’t really answer Damon. So far, he figured that they had a chance since neither one of them hadn’t ever killed anyone, but then there was He Who Walks Behind the Rows, who would probably decide their destination for them when their time was up. He nodded in response to Damon’s question of scrubbing his back, and took the bar of soap after the little demonstration was over. He started scrubbing away, and then asked, “Please kneel down so I can work on your head.” He continued to add, “If you behave I will give you a kiss.” Although he could see Damon's head just fine, he figured it would be easier if the other was at a suitable level.

"I will only kneel down if you promise-- not to pull some sort of prank." His eyes narrowed. It wasn't like the other boys wouldn't take the opportunity to do some crude joke on his expense. He still wasn't sure that he wanted to even if Nako promised, there were things too close to his face for comfort. "Or I could clean it-- I mean-- it is my head after all." Damon faked a grin. "It's not like I haven't cleaned wounds out a gazillion other times." well that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was true, he had cleaned them out before, plenty of his own even.

Nako didn’t exactly know what Damon had meant by pulling a prank. They were in a bathtub in cold water, about to slip if they made the wrong move, so why would he want to pull a prank knowing it would only end in disaster for the both of them? Of course, Damon offered to clean it himself, but he shook his head lightly. “You might make it worse,” he said as he lowered his head to the other’s hairline, looking at the wound as best as he could in the flickering light. “Hold still,” he said as he started scrubbing away lightly at first, then applying a little pressure until there would be suds over the wound and in some of the hair surrounding it. “Okay, now hold on, I’m going to rinse it.” He pulled the showerhead into the direction of Damon’s head, and let the water rush at the wound until the suds would be gone. As he took a closer look it seemed cleaner but he scrubbed it again. “Just in case,” he said as he rinsed it once more, and then Nako went to help Damon up. “Here you go, now we don’t have to worry about your wound anymore.” He grinned and then attempted to pull Damon, carefully, into an tight embrace. “That wasn’t so bad, was it?”

Damon let out a heavy sigh, and got down so that Nako could clean it. He closed his eye, mostly to keep the soap and water out, but when the soap would enter the wound he would wince in pain. Then when he thought it was over, Nako cleaned it again, this time, since he was surprised by the sudden pain, he yelped.
He took the other's hand as he offered help to him up. Damon cringed until he felt the other pull him into an embrace. "It still hurt." He put his hands on Nako's shoulders, unsure what to do in the current situation.

Nako could tell that Damon wasn’t very comfortable with the soap being scrubbed into his wound, but the teenager wouldn’t care. A little pain was better than a bitter infection that could’ve been prevented and would be, thanks to himself. He had helped Damon up, and had embraced him tightly, finding his friend’s arms going up to around his own shoulders. He leaned back to look at him but didn’t release him as he started to guide Damon‘s hands to his waist and then placed his own arms around Damon‘s shoulders, since he was after all shorter than Damon, even if it was only by a few inches. He just smirked at his friend, but gave him a light sigh. “It will be fine now, though. After we dry up a bit I will pour some rubbing alcohol in there and then, I think there’s a first aid kit in the lobby downstairs, so then we will get a bandage and wrap it around your head.”
He just stood there now, having not released Damon yet, and instead he started to stare in the other’s eyes. He smiled a little and then leaned in, his lips about to touch Damon’s. His nose was already brushing against the other’s, and so he would’ve opened his mouth just a little, to try and start yet another kiss, possibly more passionate than any of the ones they’ve had. If Nako received the kiss back, he would continue on kissing until he could feel his fingers becoming like dried prunes, and that would be his cue for stepping out of the water and starting to dry up with a towel nearby. Of course, if the kiss didn’t happen, he would just step right out and start drying up.

Damon never was sure how his hands should behave, so such encounters would be awkward, and the other had to guide them along. At the mentioning of rubbing pouring alcohol into his already hurting wound, his eyes bulged in terror. As the other stared, his pale blue eyes were still pretty wide, but then his nose brushed up against his own. Damon continued to stare. "But that would hurt!" Damon was still obsessing over the rubbing alcohol. He followed Nako as he got out, "I mean, a lot! Like more than the soap, or hydrogen peroxide, which at least you get the entertainment of the bubbles--" he absent-mindedly continued on, not realizing what had really just been going on.

Nako was more than disappointed that a kiss hadn’t been made. He was definitely looking forward to making the shower a little romantic at least, but he supposed he would just have to make do with that somewhat awkward hug. He definitely wished he hadn’t mentioned the rubbing alcohol, but while Damon was babbling away he had reached under the bathroom sink and pulled out the respective bottle of said liquid. He would then grab Damon’s head firmly by the jaws, and pour instantly the open bottle over the wound. “Quit being a baby,” the teenager muttered as he started to blow away at the wound, hoping to cool it down. “Rubbing alcohol works best, and fast, for stuff like this, so can it!” He snapped, almost like a father to a son, an older brother to a younger brother, but he was still pretty much demanding but being so for good reasons.

He continued on with his rant until he felt a sharp burning sensation on his head. "Ow!" he yelp like a puppy with its tail being stepped on, then he just went on whimpering. He pulled away from Nako' s grasp not wanting to have to go through that again. He didn't much appreciate being snapped at, but he was rather used to it, after all it seems to happen a lot to Damon. "It hurts-- It's worse then when your leg falls asleep and then the blood flow starts up again--" He grabbed his head.

Nako just rolled his eyes when Damon started to cower like an injured puppy, but did find it a little adorable. He just put his hand gently on Damon’s shoulder and bent down to try and soothe him. “Hey, calm down… It will be over once I get the bandage on. At least you don’t have to worry about getting sick or anything now.” He did have a point, the wound was now cleaned, at least by three times, and having the bandage on would keep it from getting dirty again. “Here,” he said as he handed his friend the towel to let him dry up. He went and grabbed his boxer shorts, pulling them on and then, hesitantly, threw the nightgown on as well. But then again he was starting to feel a little warm, and now he was looking at Damon and waiting for him to finish up so they could head on down to the lobby. He was picking up a small box that held at least three keys, one for each door that he was able to lock. Normally, it should’ve been five, but ever since two of them went missing he had kept them all up on the fifth floor.
