He shrugged, although he felt that his friend was overreacting a little. “Like, maybe in a couple of weeks to a month or so.” He shrugged again, but ignored the comment about having only a few years left. That was a lie to him. One way or another, he would get out of Gatlin and live to be older than nineteen. He sat up and reached for the drawer where he would usually store his nightgowns and boxer shorts, pulling out the respective clothing, one of each for each of them, and then jumped off the mattress, heading for the attic door. “So what about it? Spending the night?” He asked as he started to unlatch the door.

He sat up and stretched out, watching Nako pulling out clothed for the both of them. Jacob made a face, then wiped it off. "Well I can tell you know I will be way more fun to spend the night with then Damon," he acted all nonchalant, but the truth was he was being prideful. He hopped up and walked over to him, "So you're going to dress em up in that huh?"

He raised an eyebrow as he looked at the other. “Perhaps you would be. Damon, it was like he was scared to even be here.” But then again he knew he was just overreacting, and he was still pleased that the other had actually spent the night. Now having company a second night in a row would be fun, he could imagine, but probably tiring. However, he simply shrugged in response to Jacob before answering the question that had followed. “Damon wore one last night… Well, for a bit.” He smirked before heading for the attic door with his own nightgown and boxer shorts. The dirty clothes that he had wore would have to stay up here until after the shower, when he could wash them. “Just leave your dirty clothes here, I will wash them after the shower.”

"You're going to wash my close too--" Jacob had a hard time not laughing, because it was always the women in the town that would wash the clothes, and everything else for that matter. "Damon isn't always scared like that-- you just have to know how to relax him a bit." Jacob followed Nako out of the attic and along to the shower. He was rather happy about spending the night since he really didn't enjoy being alone, and now Damon was probably never coming back, since he would be too busy with his new wife, or at least that's what Jacob told himself.

Nako raised an eyebrow but ignored his friend long enough to open the attic door. The stairs rolled down and then he would climb down. He headed straight for the bathroom, followed closely by Jacob, until he arrived there. He turned the water on and invited Jacob to go in first while he stood by the toilet, feeling the need to relieve himself. “Why don’t you and Damon move in?” He asked after a moment of silence before he would set foot into the tub himself.

Jacob went into the shower, and jumped back at first because the water was cold, but then he went right back in, closing his eyes and tilting his head up, feeling the water on his face. "Well I could move in-- but Damon has Rebekah now." He said her name in almost a mocking tone. Needless to say, he wasn't very about his best friend (and love interest) getting married and presumably never spending time with him any more.

He didn’t really consider Damon’s marriage being an issue with the moving in, but then he shrugged at the thought. “I’m sure he wouldn’t mind. Besides, it’s not like he’s with Rebekah all the time, twenty-four seven.” He reached for a bottle of shampoo nearby and poured the liquid into his palm before wetting it lightly. He then started to scrub through his hair, his eyes shut and his mouth shut as well. When he had rinsed it off and shook his head quickly, he looked up rubbing his face dry before continuing to speak. “It would be the three of us, in our own attic, with our own little clubhouse. We would have games and we could hide food and water up here every now and then. Plus, it’s more spacious and probably quieter.”

Jacob wet his hair. He closed his eyes and tilted his head so that the cold water would hit his face directly. It felt good, especially after feeling rather hot before that. "I hope he's not with her twenty-four seven. I want to see him-- I know I won't get to see him as often as I used to-- but-- I still--" He began to mumble, so that hopefully Nako wouldn't hear the rest of his statement. "I still miss him--" He cleared his throat and when the other was done with he shampoo he would take it and rub some on his scalp. "Everything is quieter than the boy's communal home."

He fell quiet for a while, letting the water rinse off any suds from his body and hair. It wasn't until a few minutes later after the last of Jacob's words that Nako turned around and started to speak. "Well, I'm sure we can work something out. We are smart boys." He smirked before wrapping his arms around Jacob's shoulders in an attempt to embrace him from behind. After the quick embrace, he stepped out of the tub, dried up with the sole towel left in the bathroom, and then started to get dressed.

After let the soap and suds rinse away, Jacob just stood in the shower, letting the cold water run along the curves of his body. Jacob let out a heavy sigh. "Yeah-- bloody brilliant--" he mumbled, turned the nob off and stepped out, he stuck his open hand out wanting the towel. "Well see-- for the past three years. Damon and I have been sharing the same cot. I don't sleep very well without him." Jacob's grew big, and he looked down.

He noticed it but didn’t say anything. Instead, he had handed the towel over, and was already taking a step out the door headed for the attic. He knew he could embarrass his friend if he had said anything about it, so he was being respectful. Once he reached the attic door, he glanced back down the hall to see if the door was locked, and indeed, it was. He tugged at the string stepping to the side quickly, and allowed the stairs to roll down before ascending into the attic. From there, he moved across the area to the clubhouse and adjusted it to make it look neat, but took the dirty sheets off and tossed them aside along with the dirty clothes. He would have to wash the sheets soon, for he could never go to sleep on a naked mattress.

Jacob took the towel from Nako, and first rubbed it against his fuzzy head, then went ahead and dried the rest of his body off. He was in the middle of doing this when his friend had taken off without him. Jacob thought it was strange, (maybe even a little rude) but he let it go. He figured that not everyone was Damon, and would wait for him through everything and anything. He let out a heavy sigh when he gave the boy a thought, then shook his head trying to shake the loose feelings free.
He was indeed, attracted to both Nako and Damon, but-- he had known Damon for much longer, and had a much more intimate relationship with him, (aside from the minor physical detail.) Jacob decided, that he was going to try and give up on his closest friend, and try to start something new with Nako. The other boy had proved to be interested in him.
A smile formed on Jacob's face. He let the towel fall to the floor, and he began to get dressed. After that he left the towel laying there, absentmindedly, then left the bathroom. He was hoping that Nako had left the way to the attic open so that he could get back. And indeed it seemed to be. So he was quick to follow his friend up. "What are you doing?"

Nako looked up when the other had asked something, and simply shrugged in response. “Why, I’m going to wash those dirty sheets so we could sleep in them tonight.” He said as he started to roll up the flat sheet before ripping off the fitted sheet and rolling that up as well. He placed the two sheets with his dirty clothes, even grabbing Jacob’s own, and then rolled them up into one big pile. “It’s not like we’re going to… Well… Do it again, of course.” He shrugged again after a moment of hesitation, and then picked up the load of dirty clothes, heading for the door now.

"No I suppose we won't be." Jacob watched, leaned against the wall with his arms folded. "So-- where do we go from here?" He mumbled, quietly, not really sure if he wanted to know the answer to it or not. "I mean-- are you interested in me or not?" He did his usual, brush the subject off and act casual, the way he did when he first met Nako.

“Well, we could if you wanted to. Just not on the mattress!” He muttered, but mostly under his breath. He looked over at Jacob and did his best to scratch his chin, what with the bundle in his arms. “Eh?” He asked, at first confused with Jacob’s sudden question. He had heard it, all right, and then the next, smirking. “Maybe,” he said, teasingly, “Maybe not. For me to know, you to find out.” With a slight snicker, he pushed down the door and watched as the stairs rolled down, before descending down and turning left into the bathroom. In there, he started to run the water until the tub was halfway full.
