Which is the best one? I myself have only seen 1-3. I heard somewhere that the others weren't worth watching...but...I vote for the first one.

Personally, if i had to make a cut-off line, I'd say don't bother past the 5th one. The sixth one is... I'm an Isaac fangirl but...but...
I hate that movie so much.
And the remake is awful. Seriously. I hate it.
The first one though...the first one is nice...

I have not seen the remake, though petty much everyone I've spoken to about it agrees with you. ^^ I'll probably end up seeing it eventually, along with every other COTC film, though. One day...

The rules of fandom do require that you watch every movie, no matter how crappy. Except six. that one is so crappy...you don't gotta watch it. Spare yourself..

Well, because I joined this site I amassed every Children of the Corn movie, popped some popcorn, and watched them all. Consecutively.
Now, maybe I was just haggard after overdose of corn by that point, but my favorite was the sixth. I enjoyed seeing how the survivors of the cult dealt with their past. Rachel was crushed beneath guilt, Cera was desperate for justification, etc.

You're wrong. Get out! *throws temper tantrum* The sixth one was awful! Maybe Rachel and Cora were handled well, but Isaac certainly wasn't. I watched it for HIM, thanks, yet they did nothing with him. And he was off when we saw him... I would need a whole thread to rant about Isaac's weirdness in COTC 6.
*cough*
I mean, I uh...I respect your opinion. >.>

I say the fifth one cause it amused me and I was forced to watch the first one like a bunch of times. >.>

I liked the remake, and for now it's my favorite out of them all. I couldn't stand Isaac in the first one, and the ones with the ghosts just got me confused. =/
Once I've managed to buy the whole collection, "Dwelling" included, I will definitely start watching them all at once. =) I think they might keep making more since, if I'm right, it's based on a Stephen King novel?

You like the remake? GET OUT OF MY SIGHT, HETHEN!*cough* I mean...er... Yes. Children of the Corn is based off of a Stephen King novel -- or rather, short story. And personally, I don't think it's a very good one. 75% of it is just buildup, and it flops at the end. COTC is one of the rare times when the movie is better than the book.

Yeah, I might read the book, too, just to get into COTC some more, you know? Relate my feelings to it, xD, and actually become part of it. As creepy as that sounds, that's how I usually am if I join a RPG based on a book, movie, or game. =) And I didn't like the remake so much, just that I felt it was better than those I had watched. =/

Well, I love Children of the Corn, but it would be a blatant lie to say it was a series of quality. I like the first one the most - and I guess maybe my feelings for that jaded any hope the remake had of digging its way into my favor. xD Again, the book isn't even that; it's a short story. You could probably sit down and read it in all of fifteen minutes. I forget exactly what Stephen King collection it's located in. I read it in 'Stephen King Goes to the Movies' but I'm 100% positive that isn't where it was originally.
