Personality: Solomon is a quiet soul who generally keeps to himself. Before the Purging, he enjoyed quoting Teddy Roosevelt's bastardization of the African mantra 'Keep softly and carry a big stick.' He prefers to use the tactic of caution and non-aggression, but, at the same time, he makes it quite clear that he is willing to use violence of the need arises. He is a meticulous person when it comes to neatness and order, and tries to organize his time almost to the very second. Organize everything, that is. He is a devote follower of He Who Walks Behind the Rows. He is intelligent, but refuses to question anything his Lord tells him.

Solomon had always seen corruption in the world around him. Starvation, poverty, bullying. He did his best to weed these out of Gatlin at least; he tried to keep everyone fed during the drought, he tried to defend the weak from bullies... And while his efforts were useful for the time, they always were ultimately forgotten. When He Who Walks Behind the Rows offered a permanent solution to the problem, Solomon grabbed the big stick, so to speak, and began the purge.
