Name: Elijah Astor
Gender: male (xy)
Age: seven years
Marital Status: single
Job: he is the lure, the trap for the adults. His job is to act hurt or hungry in front of any adult that happens to stray into Gatlin. As the adult is bent over trying to help him, he lets out a small screech that seems as if it was in pain. Wrong; the screech is actually a call for his companions to come and deal with the damned adult, in whatever way they specialized in.
Believer in He Who Walks Behind the Rows?: a strong believer in this
Thoughts on He Who Walks Behind the Rows: "He is God. He should be the center of one's life. You shouldn't let such obscene things like technology rot your brain. And thanks to those no-good adults who try to corrupt our minds with their revolting ways of life, well, I frankly believe that they deserve to be killed. And believe me when I say that I'll gladly sacrifice myself for He Who Walks Behind the Rows when I'm nineteen."

Appearance: thin and muscular for his mere age of seven years, Elijah is considered fit and well suited to the hard working lifestyle of a Believer. But despite his many long walks through the bright Nebraskan sunshine, just roaming around town, he is fairly pale minus the typical younger child's rosy red cheeks. His wide, deer-in-the-headlights icy blue eyes stand out like a sore thumb against his ghostly complexion, being one of the first things you would notice about him. He tends to wear his hair reasonably long and flattened down, always keeping his bangs no matter the length of the rest of his hair. He liked the way it looked and felt. Besides, it was the last thing he had connecting him to his old life. He keeps his hair a natural dark blond rather than dying it as some of his friends have. Usual attire for this young boy is a baggy white shirt that never seems to stay tucked in and a pair of dark jeans that drag beneath the heels of his Keds. He dislikes tucking his shirt in but will obey the others if they tell him to do so out of sheer respect for his elders.
Personality: intelligent for his age, he often uses words he has seen in the novels he reads even if he doesn't understand them himself. He tends to hide his intelligence and 'nerdy' side with the macho act of a tough look, stance, and use of profanity. He attempts to hang out with the bigger kids, wanting to fit in: the feeling of not belonging is one he extremely despises and will go to any lengths to recover. Despite his changed personality, he still has the natural little boy curiosity about things, he often gets into foolish fights with the other younger Believers, and acts a bit immature at times. He used to be the quite, soft spoken child who never spoke except to let out small whimpers when his parents fist connected with his body. There is no denying he has been through a lot, experienced more than many have in their years on earth. But he generally acts like your generic boy with the additions of being homicidal towards Nonbelievers and adults and having neat handwriting. He learned how to write in cursive at the age of six and finds it effective for many things. He often appears a bit more presumptuous than he wants to but he has to in order to maintain a good reputation among the tough crowd he hangs around. He has little respect for the females can't do male crap. He believes that females are just as strong as males and could do everything they can. This feeling came when a friend was whining about how she couldn't do a particular job because they felt it was to masculine for her capabilities. One last thing: he hates people who whine and complain about their past. Compared to his, they usually are nothing but specs of amazing pampering that Elijah would have adored to have adorned upon him any day when he was younger.
Likes: fire, He Who Walks Behind the Rows, sounding intelligence, books, the taste of potatoes, the way he gets to choose the majority of what he does, meat and his current nearly carefree lifestyle.
Dislikes: people who do not believe, adults, disrespect, blond females, the texture of carrots, the revolting fact that he'll one day nearly become an adult and sad moments such as people crying or mourning the loss of a friend.
History: when He Who Walks Behind the Rows took over, Elijah was quick to join the bandwagon despite the fact his parents had just been killed. His opinions towards them weren't kind; they were full of vehement hatred that stemmed from their constant physical and verbal abuse. He didn't react much when he saw their bodies. Sure, a lonely feeling enveloped him; at least when they were alive, he had somebody that talked to him, even if it wasn't the way he wanted. And he felt a strange sort of loss in his heart, but he finds there is a clear difference between his feeling of lost and the geniune 'I'm-about-to-cry' sort. So he stayed at home, staying inside unless he had to take the trash out to keep everything from getting too dirty, and lived off the available rations currently in their cupboard. After about a week of living off canned vegetables and SPAM and room temperature water, he decided to take a visit to the store. He knew where his parents had a stash of 'emergency money' -- he had stumbled upon it at the age of five, when playing with his long-gone imaginary friend Rupert -- and he'd use it to buy enough food to last at least a month and maybe a few books to subdue his boredom. How could one little could last this long on his own, his house stinking bodies? Simple: he was brave, vivacious, and wanted to show the world he could make it all on his own, with no assistance from adults what-so-ever.
But as he was walking to the store, he was stopped by a group of teenagers, ranging from male to female and ten to seventeen from the looks of it. He had been startled and when they asked, 'Wheres your parents, little kid?' He told them the entire story. They nodded appronvingly, whispered among themselves, and the very net day Elijah Astor fount himself moving among their throng of members. He become settled in and accepted the fact that this new 'religion' and 'god' was now his life. It was simple enough to accept. He was given a job, fairly crucial to the Believers way of working. He has killed a few adults himself -- three to be exact, with the help of his real friend -- but he usually sticks to baiting the adults into a vulnerable position. He still doesn't know everybody but is making the effort to. Still experiencing life, one could say about his short history.
Weapon of Choice: baiting/temptation and axe
Other: my very first character. I can't wait to begin role playing him. So young yet so evil all because of a certain belief he has been raised around. I turned Nathan Gamble into a murderer!
