Name: Isaac Chroner
Age: 14
Canon: Yes
Believer: Yes
Appearance: Small for his age, though you likely wouldn't notice that - instead you'd be noting the crazy spouting from his tiny mouth. Generally average appearance: fawn-colored hair cut neatly atop his head, snub-nose, gray-blue eyes. Almost always will be found dressed in a modest suit of a gray-black color.
Personality: Isaac has been the chosen seer of He Who Walks Behind the Rows, and, in direct correlation with this honor, he has become arrogant and self-righteous. He snaps at any question of his judgment, refusing to budge from an affirmed position. He is reluctant to ever admit any short coming of his own, from his flaws that he legitimately has to the mere penalties of being mortal, such as not having the answer to every problem, or predicting the future.
Isaac, being "the word and giver of his laws", tries to carry himself as such. Hands are kept clasped when not being used, sits up straight, walks with grace and direction. The boy handles himself with dignity and poise.
Through all his flaws, Isaac generally is fairly understanding, preferring to rule through love (as distorted as it may appear) rather than fear. A certain pair of children were not in the cornfield on the blessed day He Who Walks Behind the Rows made himself known, and thus the two are spared from judgment for not having faith in Him, he would rather issue stern warnings - ranging from verbal to corporal - before spilling the blood of any of Gatlin's Children.
History: Said to possess a great spirit even before he was truly possessed by He Who Walks Behind the Rows, Isaac was a beloved traveling boy-preacher. Taught from a tenderly young age how to present himself and touch the souls of people, he was raised to do just what he would do best: preach. However, while Isaac scrutinized biblical texts and took the honored teachings to heart, it became apparent to the child that his parents merely had their eyes on the wallets of Isaac's growing congregation.
Eventually, Isaac was swept to Gatlin. And while he was there, alone in the vast green sea of corn, He came to him. He told Isaac the truth - the true news, whether or not it could be considered good - and chose the boy as his seer, his representative to the children of Gatlin. For it was the Children of Gatlin who were His Children - the children of He Who Walks Behind the Rows.
The rest, of course, is history. The boy would lead the children into the slaughter of their parents, and communicate the laws of He Who Walks Behind the Rows to the children.
