You read that right. Right now (I read that it was to begin filming September 2010, and here we are) Children of the Corn 8 is being made! *dies* Here be one of the blogs about it (not the most reputable source, but I've been reading about it everywhere. I'll put up a better source later. *cough* Still. The blog wonders if there is some sort of hidden demand for Children of the Corn movies. It's us! *squee* I am immensely excited for this!

Admittedly, I kind of understand your enthusiasm because you, well, made this site. However, considering your distaste with Isaac's return and the remake (hehe, I made you think of it. Oh, and you just lost the game), I have to wonder. What makes you so excited for this film with so much going against it.

Eh. Well, from a purely commercial standpoint, it might renew some interest in the fandom - and that will lead to a larger role playing base. But on an entertainment scale, I like the Children of the Corn movies. The remake was awful, but this is not a sequel to the remake. The sixth one was bad --- but the seventh one was A.O.K. The eight one will likely rank somewhere with the seventh; from it's plot, it seems to be playing it safe with the generic COTC plot: couple, creepy kids. The series isn't high-quality, so I'm looking forward to a few laughs!

I actually want to start collecting all the COTC movies, it's been a thought for several months ever since I saw the remake. I just don't know where to get them all, xD, including the remake. Oh, wait, the remake's at Wal-Mart now. =3

The whole series is hard to collect - particularly the second one on DVD. It can be REALLY expensive. I didn't even want to shell out all that cash for a disc-copy, so I got it on VHS. The rest I had to scavenge on eBay for. I don't think Walmart will help with all of them. Unless, of course, your Walmart is more efficient than mine, which is very likely.

Well, right now they have all the Resident Evil movies (From 1 to 3 and Degeneration included), so I don't see why they wouldn't have the collection of COTC when the eighth one comes out. =) Of course, I'm not going to buy them all just yet, I'm trying to start my business first, but when the time's right, I will get about to watching it. Netflix might actually have them, too.

The Resident Evil Movies are a little more recent than COTC. The Eighth One is going to be direct-to-video as most of the COTC films are, so it's possible that it'll slip through the cracks. (Though, you're right. Walmart is the type of store that would pick it up.)
Netflix might have them. I never really checked there since my subscription there kinda sorta died. But when I checked on iTunes all they had was the remake. >.< It follows me like a curse. xD

They made a Blu-Ray edition of the very first movie, didn't they? I might save up to get it. I would like to know when the Dwelling would be released, though. The blog didn't mention any of that, but I only skimmed and I don't think it was the right post.
