So Esau walked out of Hemingford, dissatisfied with the turn of events. He knew he must return, but it is not as though he did not wish for the blessing of flight. He also knew, or at least had faith in, that he was meant to return. He had a purpose, and, even though that reason was not entirely clear yet, he was okay with going to meet it. So he walked, and he eventually returned back to Gatlin.
