Damon really wasn’t sure what he thought about those rules. And he wasn’t really sure what to ask either. So the whole thing made him uncomfortable, he flopped backwards, and took in a deep breath. “I guess—“ he said flatly then hid his face with hit hands.

Nako could sense the discomfort coming from his friend, and frowned. He didn’t really want to upset his comrade, so decided to just throw away these kinds of games altogether, even playing them just for fun. Instead, he leaned forward now that Damon was laying down, and placed a hand gently on his chest. He moved his mouth closer to Damon’s face, but had to use his other hand to unveil the young man’s face, before going for yet another kiss, but one that would be full of passion. If he did get to kiss his friend, he would then pull back only for a minute, and tilt his head curiously. “Could you spend the night here? Please?” Truth was, he hadn’t had any company in years ever since he basically “moved” here, and he wasn’t really wanting to share a house with so many kids, thus the reason why he would’ve been staying in this particular attic so much.

He looked up at Nako who was leaning on him, and came in close to him. At first he wasn’t really sure what he was looking for, but then it hit him. He raised his head a bit to meet his companion’s lips. He didn’t use any tongue this time, but it was still a passionate kiss. “I could. But I don’t think Jacob would be very happy if I left him alone in the communal home.” The thought that he was supposed to sleep next to his new wife didn’t occur to him at all, after all it was habit to share a cot with Jacob not Rebekah. “But, I’m sure he wouldn’t care too much. It’s not like we actually get any sleep there.”

Nako was pretty happy that his comrade said he could, but then again he had gone on to explain about Jacob. He just rolled his eyes, only because he was amused, and then just gently placed his palm on Damon’s cheek. He let his friend finish speaking, and then shrugged, now that he was laying on his side again like earlier. “Well… It is getting dark…” he said as he glanced out at the window, at least of what he could see of it from his spot, and continued, “But I haven’t had anyone spend the night in years, and I kind of miss it. You know, like a normal life.” With another shrug, “Maybe Jacob wouldn’t mind. We could just tell him you stayed up here for the night and invite him next time? Besides,” he stuck out his tongue playfully, “It’s comfortable here, and you could sure use some time away from him. And your wife, too. So, please? Pretty please. I’ll do anything.” He knew he sounded desperate, but honestly, he pretty much was, just to have company for one night.

Nako had got him thinking about it for a moment. Why was it that he was more concerned with Jacob’s feelings than his own? There wasn’t an explanation, so he let it go the best he could. “Oh no! I forgot about Rebekah! She’s going to kill me!” Damon sat up quickly. “It—it is very comfortable, but—Rebekah. She’s already going to be mad about the pie!” His heart raced on. “She already thinks I’m the worst husband ever.”

Nako got disappointed, even worse than he did when Jacob had run after Damon. He was insanely jealous now, first of Damon for Jacob’s unnecessary departure, and now Rebekah for Damon. “Fine, go. See if I care.” He grumbled as he backed up against the wall, folding his arms and already looking angry enough. He actually felt that Jacob nor Damon didn’t like him enough to spend that much time with him, so he figured he would just be upset about it anyway. Glaring at the floor, he just let Damon do whatever he would feel was necessary, even if it meant letting him leave.

Damon hunched over and stared at the floor with glassy eyes. He was more concerned with Nako’s feeling than whether or not he got his head bit off. But Nako was angry at him. His heart sank, and he stayed quiet. It didn’t seem to matter what he did, he was going to make someone angry, and someone was going to get hurt. He wrapped his arms around his stomach, he wasn’t sure what to do. He could stay, but he felt like he had over stayed the welcome at this point. “Sorry—“ he whimpered quietly.

Nako just turned his head to the side, sighing in frustration at Damon, when the young man had apologized, but whimpered it out like a frightened little child. He had seen how Damon was pretty much hugging himself, and now he was starting to feel bad that he got angry at him. But then again, Damon wasn’t going to stay just because of his wife. He clearly cared more about making sure he was alive than trying to let his friend be happy, so Nako didn’t say anything for a few minutes. But the more he thought about how lonely he would be tonight, the more he regretted ever getting angry with Damon. “Okay, okay, fine… If you decide to spend the night here, I will stand up for you if something happens. But if you want to run away back to your wife with your tail between your legs,” He said but immediately wanted to take that back, “I mean… It’s really up to you.” He stayed where he was, arms folded and head turned, not even looking at Damon, but he hoped that Damon would decide to stay.

He sunk a little further, feeling even worse about himself. but directly afterward, he sucked it up and cleared his throat like he wasn't bothered, by any of it. "I would-- like to spend the night--" He stayed quiet and turned his head away. It wasn't very often anyone wanted his company, so he wanted to take advantage of it.

Nako heard the throat being cleared, and braced himself for a farewell. But instead, it came out the other way around, with Damon agreeing to spend the night. He would’ve smiled instantly, but he did feel bad because after all, he somewhat forced Damon into staying, even if it wasn’t really physical. However, Nako stood up, calmly, and nodded firmly with a tightly clenched smile. Damon had turned away, so Nako approached his friend and put an arm around Damon’s shoulders. “I’m sorry I got upset like that,” he said, a little nervous, “But thanks. Don’t worry about Jacob or Rebekah, if something happens I will be there to help you.” He would then attempt to turn Damon around to face him so that he could give him a big, tight hug.

Damon felt an arm around his shoulders. "Don't worry about it. Everyone get's upset once in a while." He finally looked a Nako, and naturally he was giving him big blue puppy eyes. "I mean--" he stopped there since he wasn't sure where it was going. The other boy then pulled him into an embrace, and he was a little surprised. Usually, people don't get upset with you then give you a hug only moments later. But he hug back. "Oh--"

Nako could see that Damon was surprised, but he didn’t say anything. He just smiled kindly and let the embrace get a little tight, before letting go. “I read somewhere that a hug is like a sign of friendship, that it’s contagious spreading love and joy around. So I guess I just wanted to try and feel better and also make you feel better, too. But thank you for agreeing to spend the night.” He tilted his head and gave him a cute face, with a huge grin from ear to ear. “Even if we might not do much tonight. Maybe we will find something in one of the rooms below… I’ve been meaning to bring a television up here,” He nodded to the outlet, “But it might not work, and anyway I would need help.” He shrugged as he stood, starting to ponder. They wouldn’t really have much to do if they didn’t find anything, so he hoped something good would come of tonight. They had enough time before it would get too dark, as it was only an hour before evening.

“My mum and dad used to hug a lot. But gramma Penny—she didn’t like hugs—to say the least.” He thought maybe the subject was a little awkward so he dropped it. “I could help with the TV, but ever since the purging, there hasn’t been any power, so it wouldn’t do you much good. Although, if you got a cardboard box and cut a hole in it like a TV, you could pretend you had television.” He shrugged, “Or you know, since we kinda meet not that long ago, we could get to know each other better.” He felt even more awkward.

Nako shrugged, kind of feeling sorry for his friend, but he understood that it was a subject best left alone, seeing as how Damon hadn’t continued to talk of it. He shrugged, knowing that his friend did have a point, and wishing that somehow he could be brave enough to go and fix the issue with the electricity. He wondered if Isaac would like to hear of his ideas for using the creek to power things up, but then again, the preacher would probably get upset and scold him for offering ways to be lazy. Even though Nako wouldn’t really mean to do such a thing like that, he would rather be safe than sorry. Now Damon was talking again, and even now he raised an eyebrow, trying not to snicker. He had read plenty of romance novels, and that particular quote Damon just shared with him was usually popular in such novels right before it would become, say, a little steamy and hot. Of course, Damon never figured out just what the lovers would be doing in the book, and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to find out, since it was always a man and a woman in these novels. He did enjoy reading them, but wished that just once he would read about a man and a man. However, he returned to reality, the real world, today, standing right next to Damon, but smirked. “Well, well, well, aren’t we getting hasty? We’ve only just met after all.” He stuck out his tongue playfully, knowing that Damon had meant otherwise. “Sure, but wouldn’t you get bored? I mean… I don’t want you getting bored so easily so that you wouldn’t want to come back here again.”

At first he wasn't sure what Nako meant by being hasty, like getting to know someone was a bad thing. But then he figured that if you know too much about a person you might not like them any more, but then it hit him, and he got a brief look of annoyance on his face. "Well-- You don't have to get bored. That's when you play pretend or something--" then he thought about how childish that must've sounded. "I mean-- you play games and stuff. Like-- truth or dare, or hide and seek or something."
