Nightmare on Elm Street

Right. So Recently, I watched the entire Nightmare on Elm Street series. In like, one weekend. Before I had only seen the first one, and Freddy vs. Jason, and even the latter one I had seen when I was like...9, so I couldn't remember it well, and the first one for whatever reason had faded in the back of my mind and--

Look. Whatever. The fact is, I rewatched the series and I think I might have to crown it as my new favorite horror franchise. Sorry, Children of the Corn.[/i] I mean, Freddy Krueger. Rawr.

My main complaint was that the series degenerated into self-parody later. But Freddy remained a consistent douche. So. There's that.

Anyone else a fan, here?

I've watched a few of those movies. The first one scared the pants off me the first time I saw it. I can't really remember the rest, so I can't really comment. Never been much of a horror fan. lol

Ooh! Yeah, I've seen some of those. The first one, to quote vixen, 'scared the pants off of me'. I skipped the second one since it wasn't at my blockbuster, and saw the...third...and some other one, too. Also Freddy vs. Jason. But I rooted for Jason. So..

*cough* But seriously. I really enjoy the movies. Even Freddy's ultimate descent into lunacy I enjoy. Yeah, he used to be scary and eventually made wisecracks but... but c'mon.

Yeah I watched the entire series including the remake. XD It is one of the better horror franchises. =3 I dunno if it'd be my favorite horror movie but the original is the best slasher film in my opinion.

But it kinda went into crazy land in the second film. Even children of the corn kept it semi together in their sequel.

And Freddy kicked the crap outta Jason. Jason needed help from the victims. I don't believe Jason won. >.> Nopes.

I noticed that the series got a little weird. Like for example a Freddy baby burnt up running through a hospital... yeah.
It's one of my favorites but I love a bunch of movies so it would really be hard to choose if I had to between certain films. However I will not lie that Pyscho beats them all due to the fact that without that movie there would be no horror. [or at least not from the brilliant mind of Alfred Hitchcock] And Norman Bates is such a sweetie.
As for the fight Jason can get hit over and over again he's just a beast like that. x3 I think it was a tie.

Meh. I actually like the Psycho sequels more than the original. Which is strange... o.O" Specifically Psycho 4. But I think thats just because after the first time one watches Psycho the twist loses some of shock value. Or I'm just picky. Which I think I am. XD
