Jamie smiled cheerily at her idea, already completely forgetting that houses were not allowed, but hey the good thing about amnesia is not only can you use it as a good lie to get out of problems, but also you get pity for having it in the first place.
Her "wound" was starting to hurt less, more then likely being a scrape, but she set herself on a mission that she was going to do. Wait, scratch that she had two missions in mind. Which brought about another thought.
"Maybe we can find my memories in one of the houses too?" Her eyes were thoughtfully bright as she tilted her head slightly, and looked up at him. His height made her feel as if she'd have to step on her tip toes to reach full level with him.
With him agreeing she took off out of the fields, she thought of the fact that she was just about to take off her pants back there, and she giggled aloud, the thought dirtier then need be.

"I'm sure your memories have the possibility of being in one of the houses." Damon like the way he worded that. It made it sound more optimistic than saying they're probably not in one of the houses. Although he wasn't known for his optimism.
He followed Jamie through the field, often times getting smacked in the face with leaves and, more painful, corn. You'd think his head would get used to getting smacked after all the times he's managed to smack it off of things, including low ceilings. He let out a sigh, trying not to lose her.
A giggle came from the rows in front of him. "What's so funny"

Jamie because of her mildly short height was able to move through the corns with much more ease moving the corn that got into the way all the while trying to be careful while doing it.
She didn't realize that Damon was not right behind her she just figured they were having a quiet spell. It was normal, even though she was more of a talkative type of person. She stopped when she heard him call to her finding out that he wasn't directly behind her. Before she answered him she laughed, "You blend right into the corn!" It was playful teasing, and hopefully he wouldn't take it the wrong way.
She waited for him to catch up to her, and blushed because she didn't expect him to ask why she was giggling, and earlier thoughts entered her mind, "U-Um...." She trailed off. Was it a good idea to bring up her thoughts? With a shrug she figured they were the only ones there at the time, but still her voice was low just in case, "Well I was thinking that I was going to drop my pants right in front of you earlier. And how much of a silly idea that was!" She had to add the last part hastily afraid her mind would take over her tongue.

Again he got smacked directly in the face, but at least Jamie was waiting for him this time. "Ow!" he rubbed his forehead where the corn had hit him, "I'm not entirely sure how to take that..." and he began to ramble on about all the different things it could mean. "It's tall like me, or maybe I'm much blonder than I realized... or maybe since our God is associated with corn, that means I'm God like, no that's definitely not it. Perhaps I am tasty and many things can be made out of me..."
Damon was kind of hoping she didn't hear that last one, being stupid as it was. "Somehow silly wasn't the word I would use to describe that situation," he blushed again feeling like a pervert.

Jamie's eyebrow rose as he explained to her all the different ways he could resemble corn, the corner of her mouth raised as well as she listened. While her mind was still set on going to the empty houses she started walking for wards again making a small hand motion for him to follow. Still she couldn't help, but ask almost childishly, "How did you get so tall?" Really she was over exaggerating again.
"What word would you use to describe it?" Her curious mind perked up.

Damon followed her, although truthfully he was more concentrated on not getting hit with corn. After a while he just crouched down so he would be made shorter, but it was rather uncomfortable to walk that way. On the other hand, it was more uncomfortable to get smacked in the face with corn repetitively. "Genetics I guess..." that was Damon's original answer, but then he went more in depth. "Both my parents were pretty tall. Especially my dad. But I didn't get this tall till just recently," he paused then went on again. "I'm still not used to being tall."
Event though Jamie was exaggerating his height, he was still taller than most in Gatlin, but that was because more than half were under the age of twelve. "A word to describe corn would be ubiquitous." Yes, that seemed an appropriate word, it also made Damon feel smart. He liked showing off to Jamie. "That means it's everywhere!"

Even though Jamie had no idea what that word meant it still impressed her nevertheless. She whistled, "Ah smarts I see. Being a show off?" She teased him playfully grinning whether he could see it or not.
"I agree it really is EVERYWHERE." She was starting to loathe corn. Soon she spotted a opening ahead of them, "There! There!" She pointed eager to get out of this pattern of constant yellow.
She decided she didn't elaborat herself well enough, and with a chuckle she spoke up, "No silly! What word would you use to describe our situation from earlier?" She had said it was silly, and he said that's not what he'd use to describe the situation. That was where they were able to say the sun was getting to them when really that was far from the heat source. Giddy she made her way out of the corn quickly throwing her arms out about her, and yelling happily, "FREEDOM!" It felt like it to. That corn could really be "captivating" no puns intended.

"Maybe... A little." Damon was happy he could show off to Jamie, in reaction to her grin, even though he couldn't see it he grinned, pleased with himself. Except for the brief moment where he wondered if being a show off made him look like a pompous ass.
"Oh... the situation earlier..." he thought about how to put it, it wasn't silly, but it wasn't completely bad either. "Ridiculous...? I mean, it was kind of silly, but it was also one of those 'how did I get myself into this' kind of moments. If that makes sense..." Maybe Jamie wasn't one of those people that got herself into those sorts of situations very often, and even if she did there's not guarantee that she would have any recollection of it, (because of her amnesia.}
Jamie began to run again, so Damon hunched over so he wouldn't get smacked in the face. Half expecting to end up back on the road, being all turned around from the maze of corn, he pushed his way out and stood up strait, and then let a happy sigh. "Freedom, indeed." Or at least as close as you can get to it here in Gatlin.

Jamie heard him, but didn't reply as the scene before them took place in her eyes. They weren't near the buildings that was for sure. It seemed they were back on the road.
How did we manage this one? Keeping that to herself as she scanned the horizon. Already her wound stopped hurting, but her mind was circled on the whole "Getting memories back" ordeal so she turned to face him already feeling extremely pouty.
"At this rate I won't have ANY memories!" Even though she didn't mean it that way she felt it, and she once more plopped herself on the ground feeling warn out from the walk, and tired of getting lost all the time. Mostly in my head, she thought angrily.
Pulling her knees to her chest, and tightening her arms around them she studied the ground hard, and annoyed. If she took the time to look at the area around her she would of noticed what was off to the side proving that their wasn't just a long stretch of road.
[ooc; Annnd in my lazyness I'll let you decide what exactly it is that she missed. ;P]

Damon stretched out, with his hands behind his head, then let out a big yawn with his eyes closed. Only when he opened them again he saw her making faces at him. If her lip was out any farther, a rooster could come and land on it, he thought to himself.
He hunched over, and his eyes widened into sad puppy dog eyes, only by accident. "Well, you have enough memory to know that you're looking for your memory..." He sat himself down in front of her, and looked at her intensely, so much so a crease formed between his eyebrows.
But ultimately he became uncomfortable with her being so annoyed, that he got squirmy, and began to look around at everything but her. "Hey, it our 'welcome to Gatlin' sign. Why do all small towns have those?"
(OOC: I have no idea if Gatlin really has one of those... I was just thinking of how in the Silent Hill movie they had one...)

Jamie sat her chin on her knees, and stared at his eyes taking notice of his gaze that seemed as intense as the sun. It was a weird way to put it, but that was how she felt about it. A small smile played on her lips. She also noticed his puppy eyes, and it made her feel giddy.
When he spoke about the sign she looked to see it, and laughed lightly, "Must be a conspiracy." Her voice was back to being normal happy, and carefree.
Suddenly a thought jolted her system, and made her reel with refreshed excitement. She stood up abruptly seemingly flowing with joy. It looked like she was looking everywhere, and nowhere at once.
"I remember something!"

"A conspiracy?" Intrigued, he looked away from the Gatlin sign, and back to Jamie. She seemed very ecstatic, and giddy all of a sudden, and her happiness rubbed of on him slightly, as he grinned foolishly.
That is until she said she remembered something, "What is it that you remember?" Oh no! Was she part of the conspiracy, and that's why the mentioning of signs and whatnot refreshed her memory. Or perhaps he was just being paranoid. You mention something of interest, and Damon could never seem to get it off the brain for the next twenty-four hours.
