Ruth sniffed indignantly. She felt the sudden urge to holler: It is my concern! Isaac frightens me but that doesn't mean I want him dead! Unlike you, you bloodthirsty jerk-face!
She didn't, though. She had been reluctant to get up and leave the Clearing before Isaac earlier for fear he'd have her killed for some misdemeanor. She certainly wasn't going to tell the bloodthirsty jerk-wad that he was one, right while he was in a blood-happy mood.
So instead, she nodded, spun around, and bolted. Bolted. She tore through the corn stalks, ignoring when they splashed against her legs, struck her in the face. She told herself she was merely following Malachai's orders.
But she knew that she would have run even if Malachai hadn't told her to. She wasn't going to look Lucrisha in the face any longer.
Eventually, she reached the clearing. By then she was bruised and cut from her clumsy trek, her skin now almost as red as her hair.
She stumbled up to Isaac. "Lucrisha lives," she told him. "But Malachai has her. He will be bringing her back to offer her unto the Lord."

Isaac did not allow his surprise to show on his face. Instead, his expression was controlled as his voice, as he offered the exhausted girl a curt nod to show that he had heard her. He waved her away, and muttered something about resting and to be careful to not be so negligent with the body the Lord had gifted her with, but he wasn't even truly listening to himself.
Malachai hadn't crumbled to Lucrisha, after all. It was interesting and quite peculiar that the Jezebel could rescue Isaac, but could not coax Malachai into sparing her own life.
More than peculiar.
To be safe, he retracted his previous request for Ruth to rest. "Go to the Communal homes," he ordered. "Send all who reside there to me. Quickly," he snapped, underscoring his impatience.
If Malachai was planning something treacherous, Isaac felt much more comfortable with the thought of reinforcements coming to his aid.

OOC: Sorry about the late reply, my internet is stuffing up- both phone and computer *annoyed look*
IC: Malachai walked through the cornstalks again, gripping Lucrisha's upper arm tightly; "I apologize for the cuts and scars, but if you EVER try to runaway like that ever again, then I will slash your throat without thinking twice about it, understand?" he looked at her, his gaze was cold, Lucrisha didn't look at him, but she nodded as she was a few paces behind him.
They made there way into the clearing, where they saw Isaac; "I found her Isaac, she's quite bruised and scarred, but she doesn't stop fighting, when do we offer her to HWWBTR?" though it looked as though Malachai was willing to have Lucrisha he did have a plan, that Isaac obviously had no clue about, however he hoped that HWWBTR hadn't known of this.

Isaac kept his control even when Malachai shouldered his way through the holy corn rows and stalked into the clearing, his powerful hands gripping mercilessly onto the girl who he had been willing to pledge eternal devotion to, leading her to her death.
The boy preacher offered Lucrisha the same detached look he gave to any of the Outlanders Malachai brought to him.Or rather, it wasn't just a detached look: it was detachment. Any vow Isaac took to love and protect Lucrisha, as he loved and protected all of the Lord's Children, was broken the heartbeat the girl had decided to spit upon the laws of He Who Walks Behind the Rows.
"We will offer her tonight," he responded to Malachai's question, shifting his cold blue gaze away from Lucrisha and onto the red head. He nodded his head forward, to a holy corn-cross lying lazily beside the upstanding one that held the Blue-Man, indicating that he wanted Malachai to tie his beloved onto it.

Malachai walked over to his newlywed wife, who was drenched in blood, he grabbed her wrist; "I'm sorry" he said quietly as he kissed her on the top of her head, Lucrisha didn't say or do anything as tears began to stream down her face: Malachai began to tie her to the corn cross, he then looked at Isaac who he saw was watching him carefully; "Issac, your assistance please?"

Ruth restrained a roll of her eyes. She had just settled herself down on the ground and had entered the realm of relaxation when Isaac told her to jump straight up and rush to the communal homes and gather a posse. But she kept all of her harsh thoughts to herself. Isaac was definitely in a sacrificial mood. No reason to make him feel that way towards her. "Yes Isaac," she breathed, and rushed to the communal homes.

The boy preacher's spine straightened and his body tensed as Malachai's inane request rang through the air. "No, I will not," he informed the red-head, his eyes narrowing into azure slits.
His continuing displeasure with Malachai still remained, a fact that was obvious to anyone who would glance at his tense posture. His tone, however, was coddling, as though he were speaking to an innocent child. "To make an offering unto the Lord is a blessing, Malachai. For how else can you display your unrelenting devotion to him?
"The Lord speakeths to me," Isaac went on, his voice dripping with the utmost of pity for the older boy, unable to commune with the Lord in such a manner. "My communals with him are testament enough to him of my devotion. You have not that blessing, Malachai. It would be a sin for me to claim your gift,' he nodded at Lucrisha, "as my own."

OOC: Joining thread, minutes after as Isaac called for help.
Jacob smiled bigger, "Actually you work quite hard, work at shoveling food in your fat little mouth."

"I'm sorry," John said in a mock-apology as he followed Jacob into the clearing, the seventeen year old still red in the face from the arguments that had been flung at the Communal House, and, if the past was any sort of indication of the future, than he would likely stay red if not redder. He certainly was angrier than he was at the Communal House. "Why do you watch how much I eat? I admit, I eat a little more than like, you, who is as thin as an anorexic cheerleader. Look, I'm really not that obtuse," he went on without knowledge of his improper word usage, "so keep silent. For your words do not bring glory to God."
This part he hastily added when he realized that he was in the presence of Isaac and Malachai.

Jacob chuckled, "Well, I'll agree you're not that obesee but, obtuse, I would have to say you are quite obtuse. How do they put it, you're morbidly obtuse." He loved saying things that would get him mad, especially when he had no idea what they meant.

John clenched his fists. "I am not!" he shouted, instantly forgetting the presence of Isaac, the sacredness of the location, the importance of the task of sacrifice. "Okay, I have a bit of pudge, but at least I exercise and try to work it off. Unlike you. What exactly do you do? Lie around and suck 'wankers' all day long like a 'kiniggit'?" He scoffed at the words.
- "Silence," Isaac ordered, turning sharply from the cross, Malachai, and the sacrifice and stalking over towards the boys he had summoned from the Communal House, disgust written clearly across his face. His gaze flickered from Jacob, whose crime had been but to disrespect one of the Lord's Children upon holy ground during a sacred ceremony, and then to John, who had used a foreign tongue of profanity to show disrespect to the Lord's Children upon Holy Ground during a sacred ceremony. "For what reason do you profane this offering unto the Lord?"

"I appologize, Isaac. My temper got the best of me. John had started a fight, unreasonably with Naomi in the communal homes, and when I went to stand up for her, things, I'll admit degressed from there." Jacob put a hand over his mouth to hide small chuckles, then cleared his throat and fixed his collar.

Before Isaac could open his mouth to reply, John's words flew forward, eager to shoot the statements of Jacob to the earth. "Lie-are!" He broke the word apart, and almost spat the second syllable into Jacob's face. "Here's what happened, alright? Ruth comes in, gives us your message, My Lord. I scolded her for not knocking for we might be, you know, indecent. And that was okay, but then Naomi comes in - for no reason - and just starts talking gibberish about, and pardon my language, wankers. I tell her to be more respectful - in just the tone I'm using now. Calm and in a manner becoming of the Lord's Children, and she fought back, okay. Then Jacob just pops from nowhere, begins to insult my sexuality, my beliefs in God, and the quality of my servitude to him."

"How kind of you to inurupt the Giver of His Word," Jacob said sarcasticly. "When I went to go leave to come to your side and help you as you wished, he followed complaining and insulting me the entire way back." He raised an eye brow, "I'll admit I'm a little grouchy from my lack of sleep lately."

Malachai had looked at Isaac, whilst the John and Jacob were arguing, Malachai had untied Lucrisha, he decided to run off with her, he grabbed her wrist and they fled from the fields; "Malachai you're putting your own life in danger-" Lucrisha wept as he dragged her out of the field; "my safety does not concern me now, you're my life, I don't want you harmed, it was lucky John and Jacob had their argument otherwise I would have lost you" he placed a hand on her cheek and then gestured her to follow him, they made it to the main road, hoping Isaac or the other children wouldn't have noticed. OOC: Sorry for the late as hell reply lol I am back though
