"And how kind of you to do the same," Isaac said cooly to Jacob, though he did not lift his gaze from John. After a second of pondering he added thoughtfully, "Though I do understand what it is to have your slumber interrupted." He did expand on this topic.
At this, John's mouth once again rushed forward. "Oh, so you are going to side with him just because you two happen to sometimes have trouble sleeping? Oh come on, lie down, close your eyes, it'll happen. Geeze!"
"Silence," Isaac repeated his earlier command, harsher this time. "If I so desired advice regarding my sleeping habits I would have requested it from you. Cease your quarrel now, for the Lord has called upon you to make an offering unto -- " He had turned to reference the cross holding Lucrisha, and order the pair to assist Malachai in raising it.
He broke off. He made a split second decision. "After them!" He ordered. "I want their blood run and used to sanctify this place! I want to see their mutilated bodies thrown into the corn to appease He Who Walks Behind the Rows! Take the lives of Malachai and Lucrisha!"
OOC: Isaac's sleep being interrupted is an inside joke between my friends and I. >.> Sorries.

"If I do this can I sleep in the barn? Even if it's only for one night?" Jacob shifted his eyes, "I mean, yes of course whatever you want." Jacob started to run through the corn like what is commanded of him. "I should let John do it, he does everything after all," Jacob complained slightly to himself.

Malachai heard footsteps behind him and Lucrisha; "Isaac's discovered we're gone, follow me" he practically dragged her, Lucrisha got several cuts, scratches and bruises on her from the field as Malachai lead her out, they had almost made it to the road til they saw the children; "what are you all doing here?" Malachai asked, knowing this was a stupid question, he tightened his grip on Lucrisha's hand, with his knife in the other, looking at the circle of children surrounding them, he was ready to slash the throat of anyone who was willing to harm Lucrisha, he was armed

John had grabbed his machete before he had left the Communal Homes. At the time, had been planning on using it to threaten Jacob into submission - the coward probably would have crumbled at the very idea - but he was even more pleased to have the opportunity to use it on Malachai.
Malachai was everything John wanted to be. A necessity to the fold, a strong arm, a true warrior.
And John Peters hated him.
"Well, we're here to slice you open," he said with a sardonic grin. "Never thought the great Malachai would be enslaved by a bitch, but I guess what goes around comes around."

"Malachai did what?" Jacob said surprise. "Too bad it wasn't Malachai coming after John instead, "he grinned to himelf. "That would take care of somethings." Jacob grabbed his head, he watched things spin slighty, as he was so tired he felt dizy. "The ass hole can't keep his fricken kanigged mouth shut!" He made a face, "Once again why are there so many gingers in this town?"

Once John made the insult on Lucrisha, Malachai ran at him, anger was easily seen in his eyes, he'd cut John's arm and went to stab him, til Lucrisha screamed as her waist was slowly cut by another child, she cried out in pain and fell to the ground clutching her stomach, Malachai went to her side; "don't worry, I'll be fine just kill them" for the first time Malachai was taking orders from a woman, and he hadn't known her all his life like he had with half the children that surrounded them, however, the urge to kill was in his blood and he was more than happy to fulfill his wife's wish, he stabbed some of the children, within minutes he was covered in blood, there was only Amos, Rachel John and Jacob, however, Malachai wanted nothing with them, it was Isaac's blood he wanted to spill, it was Isaac that had ordered Lucrisha upon the cross etc, he wanted the small boy to pay, however, he stood before the remaining children that were left.

Jacob sighed, "The only reason Isaac gave Malachai any reign over anything, was becasue he killed the blue man--" (someone in the backround "yessssss the blue man") "The blue man threatened us and our town." He looked Malachai slightly terrified. "Which we are grateful for, however, this short stemmed temper cannont continue. It puts us all in danger. As for Lucrisha, you were one of our strongest believers, and now you turned against us." Random thoughts of Malachai silencing John in the night ran through his head, and he had a big sleepy grin. "Common, does it really do any good to turn like this. I mean yes, John and I argue, but this is rediculous. Isaac shows no reason to harm either one of you. SO come on people, can't we just put the rest of the day behind us?" He knew the answer was probably going to be a big fat no, and that more quarling would probably persue, but hey it was worth a try. Actually they had commited heresy, but he was hoping Isaac would forget and that could be the end of that. Too much drama today for me-- I just want a good nights rest!

Jacob was such a weakling. He seemed to have forgotten that He Who Walks Behind the Rows was a god of blood and sacrifice, not ego-stroking words and false promises!
John would have slashed Jacob's throat open, but ultimately decided to take out his anger towards the boy onto Malachai. Or rather, Lucrisha. You hurt the girl, you hurt the man, after all. John was small, but he sped towards Lucrisah like a bullet, machete outstretched. He unleashed a pseudo-battle cry, but to the untrained ear - that is, any sane ear that did not belong to John Peters - it sounded like a dolphin's chuckling.

"What the hell was that? You sound like some kind of porpose?" Jacob's face contorted most unatractively with a look of confusion and amusement. "Not real threatening. Then again niether is your size." He crossed his arms and grinned.

OOC: Meanwhile, back at the clearing.. (Isaac's in here, otherwise I would have made a new thread).
Ruth scurried back into the Clearing, an undeniable sense of pride falling into her step as she approached Isaac. She had successfully summoned all the boys to him, she knew that because she had seen them argue with one another and talk quite loudly about how they were going to go see Isaac. And then argue about who was better at going to see Isaac, loudly.
But that wasn't all. They had said many things, and Ruth didn't understand them all. They had used so many fascinating words, and frankly, she wanted to know what they meant. She was an easily-frightened child, but she was also a curious one.
Isaac would be pleased with her for being so inquisitive. If she asked him about the words, than he would have less of a reason to have her killed.
So, she walked up to Isaac.
"Excuse me, My Lord," she swept him a curtsy. "I heard some words that I do not understand, and I was hoping you would...would..." she gulped. Now that she was actually talking to him, her bravado faded away. "Um, could you just tell me what a wanger is?"

OOC: Yes. Next time, if someone leaves the clearing, they should post in the cornfield... Isaac's POV ------- Isaac had been distracted. The Lord would be with his followers, and Malachai and his Jezebel's blood would wash across the cornfield. But always there was the chance that one of the children would be faulty in their beliefs, and have the chance that the blasphemous duo, empowered by their own evil, would manage to reap the destruction of one of the Lord's more uncertain children. So, when Ruth came to him, and with wide innocent eyes asked him what a wanger was, he wasn't certain he had heard her right. He was relieved for a moment of respite from the concern over the fate of Malachai, however, and grasped for it eagerly. Now, Isaac fancied himself infallible on most points and loved to extol his virtues and his intellect, but even he knew that even he had no clue on the following points: the mysteries the Lord chose to keep hidden from him, and what a wanger was. "A wanger?" he echoed, uncertain he had heard her correctly. He stared blankly at her. "I don't believe that is a word, child. Where did you hear it?" OOC: Isaac doesn't seem the type who would be in-the-know when it comes to vulgarities. >.>

Malachai heard the voices of Ruth, Jacob and Isaac, he wasn't afraid to kill any; he looked John in the eye; "John, you should back down now before things get ugly" he looked at him with a cold gaze in his eyes, Lucrisha was still on the ground, wounded

ooc: how'd he hear Ruth and Isaac? They are in the clearing -- you ran to the highway. This is why a new thread would've been nice. Also, John ran at Lucrisha with intent to kill. Is-is everyone okay with that? *blinks* I'll just post as Isaac... --- Isaac was about to send the girl away, though conversing with her offered him a moment's respite, he knew that Malachai was a fine warrior. The Lord's Children would need the guidance and protection of He Who Walks Behind the Rows in order to spill the red-head's blood. It would be wise to meet with the Lord in prayer and ask for his blessing, and the invigoration of his children, to give them strength enough to bring the vessel of Evil to his knees, and to offer his Jezebel up unto the Lord. But before he could even allow the departing words to topple off of his tongue, he felt his thoughts being intruded on. No, that was incorrect. Intruded implied that the visitor wasn't welcome, and the truth was the visitor was very welcome, and would be greeted with joy, humility, and enthusiasm. The voice was perfect, flawless. It was sweet, like honey meant for the ear. It swept serpentinely around, as though it were a friendly serpent instead of a mere voice. Fear not for My children, for they are virtuous, and I smile upon them. I will guide their hands, and their strength will come from Me.
But return to you your warriors. I shall bless you with their blood, for I am pleased with you. Send them instead into the cornfield. A blue-woman has come from the outside, and she bears my curse for her Outlander blood and her desecration of the corn. Offer her up unto me, your Lord and be blessed. He Who Walks Behind the Rows would not have to ask twice. "Ruth, go unto your brothers and sisters who hunt for Malachai," Isaac ordered. "Send them away, into the corn. A blue-woman has come to taint our happy place. He Who Walks Behind the Rows desires her as an offering, instead."

Ruth blinked. Once. Twice. Wanger wasn't a word? But she had heard Naomi, John, and Jacob use it in a sentence. Naomi saw one when she entered the communal, and Jacob said John wanted to suck some. Were they like popsickles? That would explain why John had gotten so defensive - popsickles were from the times before the Purging, and she didn't think they were He-Who-Walks-Behind-the-Rows-approved.
She was about to repeat the word to Isaac, thinking that he may have heard her wrong, and then tell him her popsickle theory, but before she could Isaac sent her away. Again. Inwardly, the eight-year-old groaned. She had been running all over today, and now she had to run after the Malachai-hunting---
She gawked. Isaac was sending her to get the Malachai hunting party to retreat! T-they'd be in the middle of killing Malachai! She'd see blood, and there was a blue-woman about and...
She stopped thinking. That wouldn't do her any good. If she didn't listen to Isaac, the hunting party would be upon her instead. "Yes, Isaac," she said obediently and rushed into the corn. Once more luck was upon her, and she came to the party, encirlcing Malachai, very quickly.
She covered her eyes as she had in the communal home once she was certain she was in the right place. She had not seen any blood, but she wanted to keep it that way. "Isaac says to leave Malachai alone, and go kill a blue-woman in the cornfield somewere!"
With that, she turned around and sped away, not waiting to see if anyone heard her. She didn't want any of the battle-happy children to converge on her.

IC: Jacob turned around as soon as she heard Ruth's voice. "Well if Isaac says to go after some blue woman then we shall!" He was slightly releived to hear it. Hunting down adults was not only more fun, but it seemed more properous. " I guess once we get the blue woman, Malachai won't be so special for killing the blue man. But he won't be after he gets himself killed, like he seems to be trying so hard to do today." Realizing saying such a think is a great way to get Malachai after him, he ran back into the corn to look for the blue woman.
