'nother nap interrupted

Esau stooped into the boys' communal home. He once again walked to his cot, only before he sat down he stood by his head and thought. What had he done, how could he fix this?

Once he emerged from his trance-like state of thought he decided to take a nap. He laid down on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. He slowly allowed his eyes to shut, and he drifted into dream land.

[Sly Cooper]

Damon, being rather upset, came charging in. He didn't notice Esau laying in the other cot, and he certainly didn't notice him sleeping. He threw himself down on his own corn cot, brought his knees to his chest, folded his arms over his legs and rested his head there. He always like Rebekah, even before when she wasn't called Rebekah, but he couldn't take any more hits to his already bruised ego.

"Whoa, wait, who's there?" Esau began in a sleepy daze. He then proceeded to go back to sleep.

[Sly Cooper]

When Damon finally did notice Esau he jumped backward and yelped, "What are you doing here? Did Isaac say it was okay to be here?" He quickly wiped his eyes and acted like nothing was wrong.

"Hchhchchdhdch," Esau remained asleep, snoring.

[Sly Cooper]

He let out a huge heavy sigh. "I guess Rebekah is right, I am invisible, not even the blasphemy notices me." Damon threw himself against the hard, brick wall and slid down. The red brick scraped against the soft skin on his back, but he didn't seem to take notice. He proceeded to hide his face in his large, slender hands.

At that, Esau woke up. Being prematurely awoken, yet again, he started with this, "Forgive me for my rudeness, but I am tired and you seem to be rambingly on about something to the air of this room. Which, may I remind you, someone was sleeping in."

[Sly Cooper]

At that he got angry. "You're always wanting to start something don't you?" He stood up and began to head for the door.

Esau, realizing being sleepy is no excuse for rudeness, called after him, "No, no, no. I'm sorry, I've just had a long day. Come back, I know people need to vent sometimes, He Who Walks Behind The Rows knows I will.

[Sly Cooper]

Damon looked over his shoulder at the older boy,"No it's fine, I apologize for getting angry, i was the one that rudely interrupted you rest. Not even a heretic deserve to be treated badly."

"True, now come over here, allow me to offer you my ears."

[Sly Cooper]

Damon was hesitant at first, but if it wasn't safe then He Who walks Behind the Rows would've had Isaac make it so that Esau couldn't mingle with the res of His children, right? He came over slowly and watched him carefully. "But there's really nothing to say."

[esau12]

Esau felt a sincere want to console Damon. "Really, Damon, are you sure. Don't worry I'm done fighting He Who Walks Behind The Rows, I've accepted him as my Lord. Now please, tell me what troubles you."

[Sly Cooper]

"Well,"Damon rubbed his cheek, "Rebekah... she's so full of pride an I'm not and... I've really liked her since before the purging." He rambled, not really sure what to say. "You sure you don't want to sleep?"

Esau smiled a warm smile to the boy. He knew that he was a victim of abuse. He felt it his duty to help. "No, sleep can wait, however, my lad, you should be helped as immediately as possible. Feelings are not something to be kept inside, trust me, I know," and he most certainly did.
